JOKER POKER STRATEGIES
Jokers Wild pay schedules will typically be 7/5 machines, 7 coins for a full house and 5 coins for a flush. There are two versions of joker poker out there: one returns money on a pair of Kings or better, the other requires at least two pair before there is a payout.

The former is the more desirable full-pay version.

Strategies for jokers wild video poker, unlike jacks or better, reflect the wild card, a 53-card deck, and the different payouts. This game is almost as volatile as Deuces Wild, where the original 5 cards dealt are discarded more often than in jacks or better.

If you do not hold the joker, keep three cards to a royal over a pair of aces or kings because of the higher payout. You could catch another ace or king and still be paid.

If three cards are consecutive cards for a straight flush, i.e., 5, 6, 7 of hearts, discard other cards even a small pair, for the higher payback. If not consecutive, keep the small pair.

Don't be afraid to hold the joker alone. More than 3% of the time, you won't be able to connect with a straight, flush, straight flush, or a high pair; however, holding the joker only can give you four new cards, and a win.

When you are dealt the Joker:

1- Stand with five-of-a-kind or a straight flush.

2- Draw one card to four-of-a-kind.

3- Stand on a full house.

4- Stand on a flush.

5- Draw one card to a four-card straight flush.

6- Stand on a straight.

7- Draw one card to any four-card inside or double-inside straight flush.

8- Draw two cards to three-of-a-kind.

9- Draw one card to a four-card straight.

10- Draw two cards to a three-card straight flush.

11- Draw one card to four-card inside straight.

12- Draw one card to a four-card flush.

13- Draw two cards to a three-card inside straight flush.

14- Draw two cards to a three-card straight.

15- Draw two card to a three-card double inside straight flush.

16- Draw one card to a to a four-card double inside straight flush.

17- Draw three cards to a pair.

When you are not dealt the Joker:

1- Stand with royal flush or a straight flush.

2- Draw one card to four-of-a-kind.

5. Stand on a flush or straight.

6- Draw one card to a four-card straight flush, either open-ended or inside.

7- Draw two cards to three-of-a-kind.

8- Draw one card to two pair.

11- Draw one card to a four-card straight.

12- Draw two cards to a three-card straight flush, either open-ended or inside.

13- Draw three cards to a pair.

14- Draw three cards to a two-card royal flush.
